I'm pretty much ready for the summer, anytime now (can you tell?). I just happen to be one of those people who get bored too fast which explains my current mood. However,  I know I shouldn't be complaining because it could be worse. If you live in New York kudos to you because I know I wouldn't be able to survive the snow and that cold..brrr

Anyway with all that has been happening in this country lately I feel like we could all use some sun. So with this outfit, this is me soaking up some sun and positivity into my life, oh yeah and running errands lol.

Silver Lining

As you may or may not know by now I absolutely love everything vintage. And so, as soon as I saw this dress I already knew exactly how I wanted to wear it. I love how fashion continues to evolve but one thing that I'll forever treasure is modesty.

I wore the hat to add little bit of myself to the ensemble and just incase it rained...its always good to be prepared and practical, don't you agree??

Brownie Points

 With all the rain that we've been experiencing there's nothing I value more than staying warm. As I mentioned before, I am always freezing ( even in the summer) so at this time of the year I always feel like I'm one rainy day away from turning into a block of Ice.

Thank God for boots because that's one less thing I have to worry about,my feet getting cold and wet. Currently wishing I was somewhere on a beach but if wishes were horses...

I've been wearing a lot of black lately I might have to do a mini detox. I say 'mini' because we all know I cant stay away from black for too long. Speaking of detox, I have to admit I've been doing really well after all that holiday indulgence. I hope this self control goes on for the rest of the year.

Staple Pieces

 Due to the weather in AZ being so unpredictable I've had to get accustomed to layering. Since its something I'm not too fond of I like to keep it minimalistic by sticking to staple pieces in monochromatic tones. One of the main items that I think every girl should own is a nice pair of black leggings. They've been my life savers since time, and paired correctly you could easily go from "I just got out of bed" to "dinner with the Queen Bey".

In Retrospect

This is probably the last time I'll speak on how horrible 2016 was for me but looking back, maybe it wasn't as bad as I thought it was. Although last year I got a really bad case of recurring tonsillitis, I had to leave a job that I loved and saw myself at for years to come and  pull away from friendships that, some I thought would last forever and some I knew would have to come to an end sooner or later... I saw so many things that I thought would go a certain way take a different turn that happened to be pretty disappointing...BUT

Everybody goes through hard times you just have to toughen up, put on your big girl/boy pants and know that everything happens for a reason. Throughout the year I experienced so much growth. Every hardship taught me a lesson that made me see things in a different light.

Lastly I learnt that I am nothing without God. So this year I know will be a year of restoration for me. I know that I will get back all the love and joy that I lost in 2016 and the years prior. I know that there will be an overflow of blessings and favor in every area of my life, because everything is already in alignment.
Stepping into 2017 I feel like a toddler learning to walk.

Winning Tip : Don't let anybody talk you out of doing what you love or what you feel you should do.
I've seen so many posts on social media of people saying "you shouldn't only make goals at the beginning of the year","there's nothing like new year new me" blah blah blah. I believe there's a time for everything, a time to plan and set goals, a time to execute and a time to see the fruits of your labor and if there's no fruits then there's a time to regroup and replan or set new goals all together. That can be anytime of the year but for me at the beginning of a new year that's the time to reflect on every aspect of my life( Financial, spiritual, relationships, career...) .

Sometimes I wish I was a robot so everyday I would wake up with the same mind set and energy. But I'm human especially being a woman (yall know it aint easy), I don't wake up with the same mentality or energy every single day and at different times of the year we go through different things so it makes it hard to focus and keep track of everything at the same time... aaaanywayyy in 2017 just be mindful of your actions and words.

As I said before don't let anybody stop you from fulfilling your destiny and don't stop others from fulfilling their destiny.

Sorry I'm late to the party but HAPPY NEW YEAR everybody. I am so glad that 2016 is finally over. So as we start off 2017, I would like to wish you nothing but love, joy and prosperity.

P.S: Have you written down all your 2017 goals yet? If not you better get to it and you might want to make a vision board too while you're at it. Thank me later hehe
