At this time of the year there's always so much going on and it can be abit stressful trying to find something to wear to all these different parties. knowing how much I love my comfort, I like to put on a simple outfit with statement heels whenever I'm not sure how the night will end up. Especially since that's the case anytime I go for happy hour with my girls we end up going to a bunch of random places and you never know who you might run into. Also, this would be a perfect outfit for date night, to go to the movies.....

Now that we checked Christmas off the list, I'm ready for 2016 to be over. This year has been a really weird year for me and I've heard a lot of people say that it wasn't necessarily the best year for them either.I don't know what has been going on but in 2017 everything is about get in formation (you feel me?). I just know that it's going to be an amazing year for me. I Pray and  hope its great for you all too.

I never used to be a huge fan of neutral colors but lately everything I wear just happens to be in an earthy tone. I know I mentioned how I love seeing the millions of people at the mall around this time of the year but that doesn't take away the anxious feeling I get around large crowds. But amidst all the Christmas chaos there's nothing more calming than these neutral shades and a glass of wine, oh yeah we cant forget that (or tea) :)

Red is for Love

 

Is it obvious yet that I'm obsessed with the good ol' red lips? Maybe I should add that to my list of "what to leave in 2016" as well.

Its officially five days to Christmas and I couldn't be more excited. Especially because one of my love languages (the main one)happens to be receiving gifts so you know I'm impatiently waiting to open mine #NoPressure. Also, I cant wait to just lounge around the house doing absolutely nothing.

ION: On my journey of finding myself I've learnt so much that I'm hoping to share with at least one person out there. One of the things I recently discovered is that everybody has a different love language. That explains why you could get somebody a present and expect them to jump out the roof when you give it to them but instead your amazing gift is received with a mere thank you and tossed to the side (happened to me numerous times). So you can imagine how shocked I was to find out that gifts don't mean the same to everybody. To some people the only way to prove you love them is by touch, and  to some you have to tell it to them...its crazy huh? To me actions speak louder than words so you better get to shopping... just kidding.

Last Minute Holiday Shopping

Christmas has to be the best holiday ever, (then my birthday) although I never seem to be ready for it. But then again I'm such a procrastinator, so that explains my last minute rush to find the perfect gifts. I have to admit though, it's kind of exciting seeing all these people at the mall that I could totally relate to, the decorations, Christmas carols playing in the stores, simply amazing. But all the long lines at the counters, SO NOT COOL.

How my Dream came to Reality

As 2016 comes to an end, I just wanted to share something that happened at the beginning of this year that left me in awe.

In the past I've heard a lot about writing down your dreams and speaking out everything that you wish for and it will come to life. Each time I heard this I would just dismiss it and keep on with my wishful thinking (lol). I mean God already knows what's in my heart right?? well that's what I thought. Don't get me wrong, He sure does but...

So on the first week of January, my sister asked me to do this thing with her. We wrote down all our 2016 Goals. We broke down the goals into Financial, Social, Physical, Spiritual... to fit every area of our lives. Below them, we added a few steps on how we hoped to achieve each goal. One of my goals was to go to Spain. When I was writing it down I chuckled, my dreams and visions may sometimes seem a little bit ridiculous and this one was one of those. Especially with the job I had at the time, it would be impossible to get time off for such a vacation. And if I showed you my bank account at the time, you would have laughed too. However, I still wrote it down and said alittle prayer after my cumbersome list.

Fast forward to May 2016, I was going on a 1 month vacation to Sweden, Spain and Finland (bonus) with my family. Everything just fell in place from January to May, and although some things happened that left me quite miserable (story for another day) I later came to the realization that God was just making my dream come true. I dint win the lottery or anything, nobody offered me cash from nowhere... If anything I had to quit my job.  But it happened, and so many other things that I wrote down on my crazy list.
I say (write) all this to say, as 2017 begins don't be afraid to dream, wish, pray, speak, have faith and write down all your wishes and watch them come to reality. You know what they say "If you fail to plan, you plan to fail"

Color Blocking in Fall

The weather in phoenix can be very confusing at times (all the time). One day your basking in 80 degrees weather and the next you're freezing to death. Nevertheless, sweater weather remains sweater weather to me. That means, I'm only shopping for (and wearing) cozy sweaters and cute jackets. 

When it comes to color this fall, everything goes. Usually I'll stick to black, grey, olive green and the closest I'll get to red is burgundy. However, I'm not the same person I was last year at around this time, meaning, as everything else changes so does my style (:

Party Season

As we get into this event filled season, from work Christmas parties to family gatherings and mini vacays, I have to admit I am overly excited and looking forward to this year's festive events. Speaking of excitement, I managed to put up a new video on YouTube with two cute Outfits of the day, watch here .

Amidst all the celebratory events, there's the planning that comes with the thought of a new year. One thing is for sure, most of us have a couple of things that we would like to leave in 2016. One of the items on my list happens to be these gold pair of heels. I think I might have over worn them (if there's such a thing) but, I have to find a replacement first. They just seem to go so well with everything.
